Job Description

In this dynamic role, you will provide high-quality patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Suite at Peter Lougheed Centre.

As a key member of the surgical team, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing safe and effective perioperative patient care using evidence-based practices.
  2. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care throughout the surgical process.
  3. Maintaining a high level of professionalism, adhering to standards of practice and regulations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • An active registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Additionally, we require candidates with:

  • Completion of a recognized perioperative program.
  • Recent experience in an OR of equivalent size within the last 5 years.
  • The ability to wear lead for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with advanced problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills are highly desirable.
