Surgical Nurse Specialist

Your expertise in surgical nursing skills will be invaluable in our Telemetry Unit, where you will work closely with healthcare providers to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function to the full scope of nursing practice per the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Demonstrate clinical competence in surgical nursing skills
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Think critically and prioritize tasks to meet patient needs
- Assume a leadership role and demonstrate self-motivation in continuing education
- Have proficient skills in computer applications and patient information systems
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Completion of Physical Assessment course
- Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care experience preferred
