Job Title: Warehouse Receiver

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Receiver to join our team at Canadian Tire. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and storage of goods in our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Verify Incoming Goods: Carefully inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain Internal Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal records of inventory, including receipts, shipments, and stock levels.
  • Route Goods to Storage Areas: Route incoming goods to the appropriate storage areas, ensuring efficient and safe handling.
  • Unpack and Sort Goods: Unpack and sort incoming goods, verifying contents and quantities against documentation.
  • Affix Identifying Information: Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments as required.
  • Oversee Loading and Unloading: Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  • Organize Inventories: Organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
Computer and Technology Knowledge:
  • Inventory Control Software: Proficient in inventory control software.
  • MS Excel: Proficient in MS Excel.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a warehouse environment.
Weight Handling:
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs): Ability to lift and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Personal Suitability:
  • Accurate: Accurate and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Organized: Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
