Job Title: Warehouse Receiver

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Receiver to join our team at Canadian Tire. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and storage of goods in our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Verify Incoming Goods: Carefully inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain Internal Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of incoming and outgoing goods, including inventory levels and stock movements.
  • Route Goods to Storage Areas: Efficiently route goods to designated storage areas, ensuring timely and accurate storage.
  • Unpack and Sort Goods: Unpack and sort incoming goods, verifying contents and quantities against documentation.
  • Affix Identifying Information: Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, ensuring accurate tracking and delivery.
  • Oversee Loading and Unloading: Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  • Organize Inventories: Organize and maintain accurate inventories using computerized inventory control systems.
  • Provide Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in inventory control software and MS Excel.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with dollies, hand trucks, and pallet lifters.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and physical stamina to handle heavy loads.
