Job Title: Warehouse Receiver

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Receiver to join our team at Canadian Tire. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and storage of goods in our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Verify Incoming Goods: Carefully inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain Internal Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of incoming and outgoing goods, including inventory levels and stock movements.
  • Route Goods to Storage Areas: Route goods to the appropriate storage areas, ensuring efficient and safe storage practices.
  • Unpack and Sort Goods: Unpack and sort incoming goods, verifying contents and quantities against delivery documents.
  • Affix Identifying Information: Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Oversee Loading and Unloading: Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring safe and efficient practices.
  • Organize Inventories: Organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in inventory control software and MS Excel.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with dollies and hand trucks, pallet lifters, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, withstanding physical demands and working at heights.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and handle heavy loads.
