The University of Calgary, a research-intensive institution with a strong focus on graduate education, is currently seeking a skilled coordinator to join its Faculty of Graduate Studies. This full-time position offers a competitive salary in the range of $62,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

This role involves working closely with the Associate Deans (Student Experience) to coordinate and deliver activities that support graduate students and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing day-to-day support to the Associate Deans and ensuring effective coordination of office activities;
  • Triaging incoming inquiries from students, supervisors, and Graduate Program Directors;
  • Coordinating and tracking graduate student academic misconduct and standing processes, including drafting correspondence and tracking meetings and follow-up;
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of workshops and events, including regular student-supervisor workshops and graduate student success workshops;
  • Developing, maintaining, and updating relevant documentation on the FGS SharePoint site.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks;
  • Knowledge of University of Calgary structure and processes related to graduate student services and administration an asset.
