Quality Assurance Role at Hyundai

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Hyundai. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for conducting quality investigations, vehicle evaluations, and inspections. You will also be involved in the administration of Special Service Tools and equipment, as well as GDS vehicle diagnostic equipment programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality assurance activities, including quality surveys, winter testing, and new vehicle inspections.
  • Analyze quality issues in the field, including participation in Go and See investigations and escalation with the North American Quality Center (NAQC).
  • Aggregate warranty data, analyze trends, and investigate root causes.
  • Work with the Global Service Support Centre to resolve quality issues at Hyundai Auto Canada.
  • Prepare Quality Inspection Reports (QIRs) and submit them on GQIS. Collect associated parts and forward them to the appropriate factory.
  • Prepare warranty claims and defective parts analysis.
  • Maintain GDS and GSW sites to ensure continuous operation for the dealer network.
  • Support the administration of the Special Service Tools and the Dealer Equipment Program.
  • Prepare new dealer start-up kits, comprising various service department literature and tools and equipment.
  • Participate in annual winter test sessions.
  • Participate in new static and dynamic evaluations as required, ensuring satisfactory preparation of PR and show vehicles.
  • Support the publication of Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs).
  • Conduct validation testing of TSB solutions, including software updates, Labour Time Standards, and Over the Air testing.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in mechanical or automotive engineering.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar function.
  • High level of industry-specific (automotive) technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of automotive specialty tools, including scan tools and battery testers.
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic skills.
  • Highly experienced in statistical analysis.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High level of problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate with data.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
