Pharmacy Department Head

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and provide guidance and direction to staff to ensure seamless pharmacy operations.
- Responsible for hiring and managing the performance of staff to meet business objectives.
- Accountable for the financial and operational success of the pharmacy department.
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients' needs.
- Counsel patients in regards to new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive interaction.
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations initiatives, such as public health days and clinics.
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patients' needs and doctors' requests/issues.
- Obtain and review budgeted sales and net contribution to inform business decisions.
- Identify and report sales opportunities both internally and externally to drive business growth.
- Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy to optimize profitability.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, registered with ACP, injection certified, and APA are a requirement.
- Ideal candidate has 3 years' experience in a retail environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and doctors.
- Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate and coach others to achieve business objectives.
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the experience formulating and executing action plans to drive business results.
- Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy systems, a definite asset.
