Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Planning Specialist to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our planning and design department, you will play a critical role in coordinating and executing complex distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services to our customers.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships, providing exceptional service and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational and maintenance issues, ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of energy services.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the department.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Technology diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a directly related field, with registration or eligibility for registration with ASTTBC.
  • Four (4) years of directly related, relevant work experience, with a strong understanding of computer systems operations and various applications software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide direction to junior team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's license.
