Key Responsibilities:- Focus on Business-to-Consumer (B2C) engagements and secure agreements with company owners and officers.
- Build trust and rapport with prospective customers.
- Manage the sales lifecycle, including lead qualification, assessing client needs, conducting site assessments, pricing, contracts, and negotiations.
- Develop a solid understanding of solar, solar products, design, and technology.
- Provide excellent post-sale handoffs to the Project team to ensure successful implementation.
- Maintain Salesforce CRM records and other digital records as required.
- Collaborate with the VP of Revenue Operations to increase pipeline visibility and organizational support.
- Attend industry-related networking functions to expand SkyFire's market presence.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
- Self-starter, organized, and proactive.
- Take pride in your work and employ urgency in all customer-related activities.
- Uphold SkyFire values and maintain a positive image as a representative of the company.
- Thrive in a dynamic and sometimes hectic work environment.
- Be a self-starter, work independently, and manage your time effectively.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes for a better sales experience for customers and employees alike.
- Over two years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the solar, construction, electrical industry.
- Extensive experience with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Experience with industry software such as Scanifly, OpenSolar, SketchUp, PVsyst is an asset.
- Capable of lifting, moving, climbing ladders, and comfortable working at heights.
- Flexibility to meet with potential customers in the evenings or on weekends as necessary.
- Valid class 5 driver's license with an excellent record.
- Demonstrated passion for the renewable energy industry.
