Program Specialist - Conservation Assistance

FortisBC is seeking a skilled Program Specialist to join our Conservation and Energy Management department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and administration of our programs assisting income-qualified customers, charities, and non-profit housing providers reduce their energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programs to support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build rapport and identify opportunities for program enhancements
  • Identify and develop new technologies and program eligibility guidelines to support program growth and energy savings
  • Lead the development and implementation of new or revised programs from concept to implementation
  • Prepare business cases for new programs, including justifications and cost-effectiveness analysis
  • Oversee the ongoing administration of programs, including application reviews, invoice processing, budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline, plus a minimum of three years of recent, related experience working with projects or program development
  • PMP/CEM designation would be an asset
  • Knowledge of principles of demand-side management (DSM) and residential/commercial energy-saving measures
  • Demonstrated customer service approach and relationship-building skills with program stakeholders
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and with partners in a fast-paced environment with complex processes
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office tools
