About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Technician to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our internal customers by ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, installation, and maintenance of facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with contracted services and department managers to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repairs.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all stakeholders, including contractors, managers, and team members.
  • Model and facilitate a culture of safety at all locations, ensuring employees are educated on asset protection, preventive measures, and day-to-day maintenance.
  • Document and communicate current and future preventative maintenance for all assets, ensuring satisfactory completion of work requests.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with the design and construction of renovation projects.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • Valid Class 5 license and maintain it throughout employment.
  • Occupational Health and Safety, Level I and II, WHIMIS, CPR, and First Aid or willing to obtain.
  • 2 years' experience in facility/equipment repair and maintenance administration, implementing preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Must possess accountability, collaboration, and experience dealing with emergencies, problem-solving, and the ability to set, prioritize, and adjust work request schedules as required.
  • Journeyperson certifications (electrical and plumbing) or certifications in related trades, and/or project management would be an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels across the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain focus while working independently setting goals with measurable outcomes.
