Job Title: Cross-Platform Reporter

We are seeking a skilled Cross-Platform Reporter to join our team at CBC/Radio-Canada. As a key member of our news team, you will be responsible for developing and producing engaging news content for multiple platforms, including online, broadcast, and social media.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce news content for multiple platforms, including online, broadcast, and social media.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support news stories and reports.
  • Write, edit, and produce news copy for various platforms.
  • Conduct interviews and gather information from sources.
  • Produce visual content, including photos and videos, to support news stories and reports.
  • Use digital tools to integrate elements and achieve desired functionalities.
  • Collaborate with the assignment team to develop and produce news content.
  • Ensure the availability of resources required to produce reports.
  • Drive a news vehicle as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in journalism or the equivalent.
  • Extensive general knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of current events in Acadie.
  • Solid command of the work language: French.
  • Intermediate proficiency in English.
  • Solid command of communication techniques specific to the medium, as well as interview techniques.
  • Ability to port live content to different platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of content management tools such as WordPress, Scoop (Radio-Canada's in-house tool) and iNews.
  • Good knowledge of audio/video management systems like Avid NewsCutter, Dalet Plus, and Media Central.
  • Familiarity with CBC/Radio-Canada Journalistic Standards and Practices.
  • Valid driver's licence.
