Director of Inuit Employment and Training

The Department of Inuit Employment and Training at Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our efforts in achieving full representative levels of Inuit Employment workforces in Nunavut.
As the Director of Inuit Employment and Training, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and preparing policy recommendations to ensure that the commitments to Inuit Employment workforces are effectively met. You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and other NTI departments to implement the May 4, 2015 Settlement Agreement with the Government of Canada and Nunavut.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing and managing complex projects, financial management, and policy development. They will also have a good understanding of employee recruitment and planning systems, as well as experience in mentorship, coaching, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to achieve Inuit Employment workforce goals
- Manage the Mikigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation and its associated funding
- Collaborate with NTI departments to implement the Settlement Agreement
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff on Inuit Employment and Training initiatives
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Fluency in Inuktut is an asset
