Critical Care Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team at Brightshores. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill adults and occasionally children, during the critical phase of their illness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage the care of critically ill patients, including those with cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
- Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
- Post Anesthesia Course or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.
- Critical Care Certificate or willingness to obtain within two years of hire.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to think critically and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent critical care experience within the last 3 years.
- Coronary Care Certificate.
