The Registered Nurse is a key member of the VON Canada team, responsible for providing high-quality, client-centered care to individuals and families in their homes and communities. As a Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Provide direct care to clients, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between healthcare settings.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote health and independence.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care and services.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Canadian Nurses Association certification in Community Health Nursing an asset.
- Experience in community health an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
