Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop strategic plans for systems maintenance and enhancement, collaborating with line management and business experts.


  • Lead user work teams and outsourced system maintenance providers on ongoing system maintenance, enhancement, and development.


  • Ensure system controls are defined, documented, and in place to maintain data integrity.


  • Analyze client requirements and extract and format data for specialized reports.


  • Design training needs assessments and develop training materials for adult learners.


  • Manage large projects, ensuring timely completion and effective results.


  • Advise other system administrators on system interfaces and business requirements.


  • Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure user requirements are met.


  • Prepare business cases and conduct post-implementation reviews to confirm benefits are obtained.


  • Provide user training and support on planned and existing systems.


  • Coach users in the effective use of operation systems.


  • Conduct special studies relating to operations systems, researching and analyzing information and preparing reports.


  • Evaluate internal and external software packages, making recommendations on their applicability, viability, and potential.


  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors and finance regarding operations systems policies and procedures.



Requirements:



  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary technologist diploma in computer technology or equivalent combination of certifications.


  • Four years of directly related experience.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.


  • Competence in managing multiple large projects.


  • Oral and written communications, presentation skills, and adult training delivery ability.


  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems operations, environment, and peripherals.


  • Valid British Columbia Driver's license.


  • Ability to obtain a Passport for out-of-country travel.



Compensation:


We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
