Qualifications and Requirements

A Master's degree in Nursing from a recognized university is required. To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of five years of nursing experience, with three years of recent, related experience/specialization in a specific area of practice. You should have recent, progressive experience in administrative and advanced nursing leadership roles. You must have a comprehensive understanding of current thinking related to practice, leadership, care, and service delivery, as well as budgets, project management, change, and quality improvement. National certification in the program area and previous leadership roles/teaching experience are assets. You must also have current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

  • Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions and time constraints.
  • A valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal car are required.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
