We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Buildings division and deliver innovative projects in the healthcare, education, hospitality, recreational, entertainment, retail, commercial office, mixed-use, multi-family residential, and light industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the project scope of work.
  • Set up and complete estimates in our company's standard estimating program.
  • Prepare preliminary construction schedules.
  • Complete estimate quantification and costing of general condition requirements, labor, and equipment, including productivities, material, etc.
  • Analyze and propose potential strategies, advantages, or innovations for the project that could provide Graham with a more competitive bid.
  • Apply labor and equipment productivities to estimates based on historically accurate values.
  • Analyze subcontractor bids for irregularities and ensure the full scope of work is included.
  • Participate in or lead the bid close on small-to-medium-sized projects.
  • Assemble conceptual and budget costs using past project analytics, benchmarking, and historical data.
  • Develop scopes of work for subcontractors to provide budgeting assistance on small-sized projects.
  • Demonstrate a competitive passion and high-performance attitude.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of a diploma or degree training program at a college, university, or technical school; Gold Seal Certified, LEED Accredited, and LEAN experience are all assets.
  • Ability to understand, utilize, and communicate specialized information in speech and written text.
  • 1-5 years of a combination of field and estimating experience; design-build experience and proficiency in a variety of general procurement methods is an asset.
  • Proficiency in the use of Graham's software suite, MS Excel, scheduling software (Primavera preferred), InEight or other quantification software (such as OnScreen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Agtek), and BIM modeling is an asset.
  • Advanced degree of aptitude in comprehending tender documents, specifications, and drawings, with an understanding of contractual requirements.
