We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Build It by Design (2014) Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimating: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, including preparation of pre-qualification submissions and tender documents.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze tenders and recommend awards, as well as provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.
- Project Coordination: Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost estimates and project timelines.
- Cost Monitoring: Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenditures and ensure compliance with budget.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, team player, proactive, and ability to work under pressure.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team. The position requires sitting for extended periods and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Language:The primary language of work is English.Hours:
The position is permanent and requires 37.5 hours of work per week.
