Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to join our dynamic team at ExecThread. As a key executive, this pivotal role involves shaping legal strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting business interests.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Drafting and reviewing contracts: Develop and review various contracts to safeguard the company's interests.
  2. Intellectual property management: Oversee the company's intellectual property portfolio to ensure its growth and protection.
  3. Legal advice on governance and compliance: Provide expert guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  4. Complex transactions and partnerships: Assist in complex transactions, strategic partnerships, and financing agreements that drive business growth.
  5. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives while managing legal risks.
Requirements

To be successful as a Senior Corporate Counsel, you should have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and be admitted to practice law in Canada and/or the U.S. A minimum of 5-7 years' legal experience is required, with a strong background in corporate law, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven track record in managing complex legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and litigation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is around $200,000 - $250,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance plan, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional development.
