With over 15 million orders and $2 billion in sales annually, we're a dynamic and growing company that fosters innovation and excellence. We're seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Software Engineering team as a Cloud Platforms Principal in our Vancouver, BC office.

As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to the development of our next-generation All-new WineDirect platform. You'll work with a talented team to build omni-channel sales, marketing, loyalty, analytics, and subscription automation services. As a Cloud Platforms Principal, you'll be a technical expert and thought leader, driving the technical direction of our software solutions.

Your expertise in software design, architecture, and development will ensure our solutions are technically sound, secure, scalable, and performant. You'll work collaboratively with the engineering team to solve complex software development problems and ensure our solutions meet the technical needs of our clients.

Requirements
  • Proficiency in Open Telemetry and performance monitoring
  • Ability to deliver across the entire software app development lifecycle
  • Prior experience with OWASP-compliant design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Ability to write clean, well-designed, unit-tested, and efficient code
  • Capability to architect OLTP to OLAP data models for efficient multi-tenant reporting
  • 8+ years of software developer experience in distributed systems or cloud-based solutions
  • Proficient in Ruby on Rails, Go, Java, C++, React JS, or NodeJS
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, event streaming, and Data Warehouse and/or Data Lakes
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent experience
