With over 15 million orders and $2 billion in sales annually for our winery clients, we are a dynamic and growing company that fosters innovation and a client-centric approach. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our Software Engineering team as a Cloud Platforms Principal in our Vancouver, BC office.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of our next-generation All-new WineDirect platform, a cutting-edge solution for omnichannel sales, marketing, loyalty, analytics, and subscription automation services. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our software solutions, ensuring they are technically sound, secure, scalable, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical requirements are met
  • Lead the development of our next-generation platform, leveraging Ruby on Rails and comprehensive full-stack architecture
  • Implement Open Telemetry and performance monitoring to ensure optimal system performance
  • Architect OLTP to OLAP data models for efficient multi-tenant reporting
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in distributed systems or cloud-based solutions
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go, Java, C++, React JS, or NodeJS
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, event streaming, and Data Warehouse and/or Data Lakes
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent experience
