We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Restaurant Manager to join our team at ONTARIO INC.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service operations and a proven track record of success in supervising teams, managing budgets, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

This is a permanent full-time position with an estimated salary of $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are looking for a leader who can effectively supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure excellent customer service. The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Establishing methods to meet work schedules and manage workflows;
  • Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies in a timely manner;
  • Sourcing and training new staff members, as well as monitoring existing staff performance;
  • Maintaining accurate records of stock, sales, and wastage;
  • Preparing budget and cost estimates; and
  • Collaborating with the chef to prepare and submit reports.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a senior management position within the food service industry;
  • Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, inventory control, and budget management;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions quickly;
  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate, preferably with additional education or certifications in hospitality management;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and frequent changes in priorities;
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and requirements;
  • Knowledge of culinary genres, including international cuisines and specialty diets;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly;
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, and walking;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision;
  • Initiative to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity;
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive work environment.
