Activities Coordinator

Job Summary:
Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a engaging and enriching experience for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing resident-centered activities and programs that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
- Collaborate with the community team to ensure a balanced and diverse activity program that meets the needs and interests of our residents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and schools to secure volunteer support and resources for activities and events.
- Document and track resident participation, feedback, and outcomes to inform program development and improvement.
- Participate in quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Sunrise quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with the community team to promote a culture of excellence and resident-centered care.
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in senior living or a related field, preferably in activities or programming.
- Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and team members to participate in social events and activities.
- Current federal and state licenses, such as CDL or chauffeur's license, as required by state and federal regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate small group presentations and work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
