Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prepared Foods Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Prepared Foods department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Supervision: Supervise and delegate tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members, ensuring a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a positive and welcoming environment for customers, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring that products are properly stocked and rotated to minimize waste and maximize sales.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with the Prepared Foods Trainer to develop and implement training programs for new Team Members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Store Operations: Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring that the department is prepared for business and that all necessary tasks are completed.
Requirements
  • Experience: 12+ months of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies, as well as regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
