What is the opportunity?

In this critical role, the successful candidate will lead and manage global identity and access management (IAM) inquiries from internal and external audit, regulators, and second-line of defense, ensuring alignment with RBC's documented best practices and control landscape.

What will you do?

  • Represent the IAM team in interactions with regulators, internal and external auditors, and second-line of defense, collaborating with the IAM governance team.
  • Provide consultancy services for all IAM-related audit, regulatory, GRM, and third-party requests for evidence.
  • Gather and analyze evidence to form opinions on IAM-related audit, regulatory, GRM, and third-party requests, guiding operational, support, and project teams on addressing follow-up questions and potential issues.
  • Monitor compliance of IAM services with policies and standards, including IAM metrics (KPIs and KRIs).
  • Manage metrics and supplementary documentation related to IAM risk and audit issues.
  • Challenge IAM process models and procedures for alignment to RBC standards.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experience in areas of audit, IT risk, and controls management.
  • Previous leadership role in identity and access management (IAM) or working knowledge of IAM controls and process implementations.
  • People management and leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-have

  • First-hand knowledge of IAM controls management and execution.
  • 5+ years within a global financial organization.
  • 5+ years within an IAM audit role.
  • Experience in KRI/KPI metrics reporting and analytics.
  • Strategic mindset with excellent knowledge of the financial IT industry.
