Policy and Research Analyst

The Manitoba Association of Friendship Centres is seeking a highly skilled Policy and Research Analyst to support the needs of the Association and its member Friendship Centres in Manitoba.

About the Role

The Policy and Research Analyst will provide support to the Executive Director in the oversight and management of research priorities, policy development, and partnership work with the University of Winnipeg's NEIHR program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the research and policy workplan as identified by the Board of Directors, the Policy and Constitution Committee, and the Executive Director.
  • Conduct research, surveys, analyses, and compile data.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including Friendship Centre Executive Directors, the National Association of Friendship Centres (NAFC) Data Strategy, and the University of Winnipeg NEIHR Grant partnership.
  • Provide technical support to MAFC Committees and working groups.
  • Generate reports and data analysis.
  • Ensure implementation of MAFC program policies and practices.
  • Assist with office administration and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in political studies, political science, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in policy creation and amendment.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Clear criminal and child abuse registry checks.
