About the Role

As a Credit Analyst in our Global Banking and Advisory team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, you will be part of a dynamic group responsible for managing a portfolio of large US corporates and subsidiaries of non-US groups in diverse industries. Your primary focus will be on preparing comprehensive credit analyses, reviewing legal documentation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring under the supervision of a Senior Credit Analyst.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will prepare high-quality credit applications and annual reviews of corporate counterparties to assess their credit quality, recommending appropriate credit limits, terms, and conditions.
  • Financial statements analysis (P&L, BS, and CF), review of the client's strategy, business risk, industry dynamics, and competitive environment are key components of your role.
  • You will also prepare financial projections and determine debt repayment capability as well as assure compliance with SGUS Credit Policies.
  • Your expertise will be essential in proposing and updating Obligor Risk Ratings, monitoring compliance with covenants, and reviewing all relevant legal documentation.
  • Liaising with other CPM teams in the US, Europe, and Asia, business lines, Bankers, legal & compliance, operations, and Risk department is crucial for success in this position.
Requirements
  • A strong understanding of commercial and investment banking products is essential.
  • You must possess strong writing skills particularly assessing and summarizing financial transactions (credit requests, covenant waivers, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills, including financial statement analysis, and ability to work in a team are necessary.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, is required due to regular collaboration with colleagues and partners in the United States.

Compensation

We estimate that the annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $120,000, based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
