Job Title: Head of Marketing Sciences

About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned marketing analytics leader to join our team as Head of Marketing Sciences. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a data-driven strategy that connects insights to measurement and impact. You'll work closely with our Chief Marketing Officer to identify customer needs, behaviors, and perceptions, enabling us to create marketing products that better serve our customers and engage with them in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help define and develop customer segments and their valued behaviors to drive growth
  • Assist in best-practices for data collection and accessibility to inform marketing decisions
  • Define the scope and framework for brand measurement, including econometric modeling, brand valuation, and brand impact on performance marketing
  • Attract and retain brand analytics talent to support measurement and optimization of brand spend
  • Supervise and guide statistical techniques and novel experiment design to measure brand investments
  • Work cross-functionally with data science and analytics teams to ensure best practices and knowledge sharing
  • Possess functional knowledge of SQL or HIVE
  • Understand customer acquisition and define the impact of brand spend within the funnel
  • Drive campaign performance reports to provide key learnings and feedback for the marketing team
  • Partner with external vendors and internal channel managers to design analytics frameworks
  • Provide technical guidance on models and analyses
  • Structure and present analyses to executives and other key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills
  • Experienced with at least one scripting language (R, Python, SAS, etc)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Ability to attract and develop analytics talent to support the mission
  • Experience in marketing analytics
  • Experience with brand advertising strongly preferred
