About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transmission and Distribution Lines Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our Transmission and Distribution Lines team, you will be responsible for designing efficient and reliable lines, leading a team of engineers, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce engineering documents for transmission and distribution line projects
  • Lead a team responsible for designing efficient and reliable lines
  • Supervise inspection of existing lines and produce required reports
  • Prepare PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE models
  • Design support structures and foundations for transmission and distribution lines
  • Support and supervise the quality of the work of engineers, technicians, and drafters
  • Prepare proposals, studies, cost estimates, reports, and plans and specifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of experience in transmission and distribution lines
  • Relevant structural experience
  • Technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of the PLS-CADD suite
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French)
