About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Old Winery Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our restaurant's culinary expertise and appeal to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and excellence in our dishes.
  • Kitchen Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to deliver exceptional service and quality.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet demand.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices and terms.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage kitchen budgets and expenses to ensure that we are operating within our means.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment.
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to handle heavy loads.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Organized and reliable.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
