Truck Engine Mechanic Specialist

Oakes Truck Sales is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair complex issues with heavy-duty diesel engines.
- Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and Repair Engine Issues: Use computerized testing equipment to diagnose and repair faults with fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, and other critical engine components.
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair or replace damaged engine components.
- Test and Verify Repairs: Conduct thorough testing and verification of repairs to ensure that all work meets manufacturer specifications.
- Education and Experience: A Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience in heavy-duty diesel engine repair.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in welding, fabrication, and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Language: Fluency in English.
