About the Role

Astellas Pharma Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team as a SAP SCM Specialist. As a key member of our digital initiatives, you will be responsible for driving business value through the analysis and implementation of SAP SCM solutions.

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop technical specifications that meet their requirements. You will also collaborate with technical teams to design and implement solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business requirements and develop technical specifications that meet business needs
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement solutions
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
  • Participate in project management tasks, such as planning, scheduling, and tracking progress
  • Assist in testing and quality assurance to ensure solutions meet defined requirements and standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Administration
  • Relevant experience in business analysis, technical analysis, or a related area, demonstrating a track record of bridging business needs with technical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex business issues and develop appropriate technical solutions
  • Good understanding of information technology, software development life cycles, and architectural frameworks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with diverse groups of stakeholders, including business users, technical teams, and management
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodology, principles, and practices
  • Attention to detail in documenting requirements, specifications, and project details to ensure clarity and alignment with objectives
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, technologies, and project priorities
  • Expert knowledge in design, architecting solutions in SAP materials management/logistics execution functionality – (MRP), sourcing, inventory management, material valuation, delivery processing (inbound/outbound), local and legal regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of various procurement processes like intra/intercompany procurement, subcontracting, serialization
  • Strong knowledge of SAP-ITM/GTS (focus on ITM) for denied party, import/export, licenses, and INTRASTAT
  • Hands-on SAP implementation experience in multiple projects, end-to-end
  • Integration of MM/Logistic execution functions with other modules like FI, CO, SD
  • Strong knowledge of integration with 3PL warehouse solutions, Supplier Portals, Track and Trace, and similar other logistics 3rd party systems
  • Great knowledge of technical tools and architecture like ABAP, Smart Forms, (Web)RFC, SAP BTP, Gen-AI, ML
  • Keep up to date and integrate on the SAP innovations and functionalities to bring the latest value to the customers
  • In-depth knowledge of FIORI, Analytics, Reporting, and AI in general
  • Very strong GxP knowledge

  • This position is remote and is based in Canada
