About the Role

Astellas Pharma Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business and Technical Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our digital transformation initiative, you will play a crucial role in driving our SAP SCM strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that solutions meet business goals and user needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and objectives, and work with digital and software development teams to design solutions that fulfill business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to business requirements, technical specifications, project plans, and reports to ensure knowledge is captured and shared.
  • Participate in the testing of developed solutions to ensure they meet defined requirements and standards, and assist in identifying and documenting bugs or issues for resolution.
  • Provide training and support to users on new systems or applications, and ensure that end-users are equipped to use the new solutions effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Administration.
  • Relevant experience in business analysis, technical analysis, or a related area, demonstrating a track record of bridging business needs with technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a good understanding of information technology, software development life cycles, and architectural frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with diverse groups of stakeholders, including business users, digital professionals, and management.
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodology, principles, and practices.
  • Expert knowledge in design, architecting solutions in SAP materials management/logistics execution functionality, including MRP, sourcing, inventory management, material valuation, delivery processing, and local and legal regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of various procurement processes, such as intra/intercompany procurement, subcontracting, and serialization.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP-ITM/GTS, including denied party, import/export, licenses, and INTRASTAT.
  • Hands-on SAP implementation experience in multiple projects, end-to-end, with a focus on MM domain and S/4 HANA.
  • Ability to integrate MM/logistic execution functions with other modules, such as FI, CO, and SD.
  • Strong knowledge of integration with 3PL warehouse solutions, supplier portals, track and trace, and similar other logistics 3rd party systems.
  • Great knowledge of technical tools and architecture, including ABAP, Smart Forms, (Web)RFC, SAP BTP, Gen-AI, ML, FIORI, Analytics, Reporting, and AI.
  • Very strong GxP knowledge.
