**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Engineer to join our team at Canadian Tire Financial Services. As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions that drive innovation and business growth.
Key Responsibilities- **Design and Develop AI Solutions**: Lead the building, scaling, optimization, production deployment & maintenance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, solutions, and systems to solve complex business problems.
- **Experiment and Evaluate**: Conduct experiments and evaluate the effectiveness of different AI approaches.
- **Manage AI Development Process**: Create and manage the AI development process and overall infrastructure for scaling and performance.
- **Collaborate with Software Engineers**: Collaborate with software engineers to integrate AI models into production systems.
- **Work with Stakeholders**: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide AI solutions accordingly.
- **Optimize AI Algorithms**: Optimize and fine-tune AI algorithms for performance and accuracy.
- **Enable Repeatable Patterns**: Enable repeatable patterns for enablement and automation of enabling measurement, explainability and ethical AI considerations into the development infrastructure and processes.
- **Document Technical Specifications**: Document technical specifications, processes, and findings related to AI projects.
- **Stay Up-to-Date with AI Advancements**: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning research.
- **Degree in AI, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field**: Degree in AI, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's preferred.
- **Experience in Developing and Deploying AI Solutions**: 3+ years experience in developing and deploying optimized machine learning models/solutions at scale in cloud environments. Familiarity & relevant certifications with Azure, OpenAI, Open Source Implementations, Databricks & MLFlow preferred.
- **Programming Skills**: Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- **Understanding of AI Solutions**: Solid understanding of AI Solutions, machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and deep learning techniques.
- **Experience in Solving Business Problems**: Experience solving business problems using AI solutions.
- **Data Manipulation and Analysis**: Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL and other data processing tools.
- **Optimizing Model Accuracy and Runtime Performance**: Experience in optimizing model accuracy and runtime performance.
- **Software Engineering Best Practices**: Knowledge of software engineering best practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and Agile methodologies.
- **Embracing Best Practices**: Embrace best practices & processes related to LLMOps, Gen AI, automation, coding standard methodologies for the broader data science and engineering teams.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
