Job Summary

The Human Resources Specialist plays a pivotal role in optimizing the effectiveness of the plant organization by enhancing employee capabilities and talents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic HR guidance to management and employees to ensure fair and equitable implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Audit due diligence to guarantee adherence to provincial employment standards.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution issues and provide leadership consultation and team member advocacy.
  • Conduct daily feedback sessions with team members to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage clearly defined deliverables for HR team scorecard and assist in the development and auditing of Human Resources systems in the plant.

Requirements

  • 4-year Degree
  • 0-5 years' experience in the application of HR systems or education in HR discipline with co-op, part-time or internship experience in HR.
  • Knowledge of union &/or non-union environments as well as the Ontario Human Rights and ESA legislation.
