About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Manager to lead our Electrophysiology division's transeptal products. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to a team of R&D Engineers, overseeing the development and manufacturing of our medical device portfolio. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biomedical engineering, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to R&D Engineers, ensuring the development of high-quality medical devices that meet regulatory standards and customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, regulatory, and manufacturing, to align product development with market and business needs.
- Develop and manage resources plans for R&D initiatives and projects, supporting strategic objectives and preparing project proposals and business cases as needed.
- Engage in cross-functional discussions to drive results and efficiently execute activities, leveraging BSC-wide resources to identify new capabilities and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Present project updates and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years' experience as a leader of technical people, with experience training and mentoring engineers.
- 8+ years of experience in engineering or related fields, with a proven track record of successful product development and project management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in an inclusive, collaborative, and fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
- Understanding of design control process per ISO 13485.
- Ability to travel (~10%) domestically and internationally.
