About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Manager to lead our team of engineers in the development of medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, and at least 8 years of experience in engineering or a related field. The candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, management, and mentoring to the R&D team, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product development and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management to a team of R&D engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and project management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and suppliers
- Monitor industry trends and technological advancements
- Contribute to the development of invention disclosures and patent applications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- At least 8 years of experience in engineering or a related field
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in an inclusive, collaborative, and fast-paced environment with minimal direction
- Understanding of design control process per ISO 13485
- Ability to travel (~10%) domestically and internationally
