Claims Adjuster IV, Casualty

AIG is redefining the way we help customers manage risk. As a Casualty Claims Adjuster IV, you will play a pivotal role in this transformation, leveraging your skills and experience to drive growth and excellence within our team.
Key Responsibilities- Review complex commercial auto claims, collaborating with policy wordings to determine coverage and ensure compliance with operational guidelines.
- Prepare and communicate disclaimer and reservation of rights letters to underwriters, brokers, and insureds as necessary.
- Investigate claims, providing direction to adjusters as needed, and instructing legal counsel to achieve optimal claim resolution.
- Ensure adherence to litigation guidelines and participate in mediation/ADR processes to resolve claims efficiently.
- Negotiate settlements directly and issue payments within the designated timeframe.
- Operate within best practices guidelines, including timely reserve review, notes, payment requests, and electronic diary management.
- Inform management of all complaints, large losses, coverage issues, and other critical matters.
- Minimum 7 years of experience handling complex commercial automobile claims, including umbrella and excess.
- College/University or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven ability to manage litigation files, make decisions, and provide direction to counsel and/or adjusters.
- Strong negotiating and written/oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to manage workload efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient computer skills to navigate paperless claim file systems.
