Casualty Claims Specialist

AIG is redefining the way we help customers navigate risk. As a Casualty Claims Analyst II, you will play a pivotal role in this transformation, leveraging your expertise to drive growth and excellence in commercial casualty claims.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough reviews of casualty claims to determine coverage and ensure compliance with policy wordings.
- Provide strategic guidance to adjusters on investigation and resolution of claims.
- Prepare and communicate disclaimer and reservation of rights letters to underwriters, brokers, and insureds as needed.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to achieve optimal claim resolutions.
- Ensure adherence to litigation guidelines and participate in mediation/ADR processes to resolve claims efficiently.
- Negotiate settlements directly with insureds and issue payments in a timely manner.
- Operate within best practices guidelines, including timely reserve review, notes, payment requests, and electronic diaries.
- Communicate effectively with management on all complaints, large losses, coverage issues, and other critical matters.
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling commercial casualty claims.
- College/University degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Ability to make informed decisions and provide direction to adjusters and/or counsel.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a quick learning ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in computer systems, particularly paperless claim file systems.
