About the Role:
This position requires an individual who effectively manages a portfolio of commercial buildings to achieve optimal levels of return on investment for ownership. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of properties and tenant spaces to ensure compliance with leases and proper upkeep.
- Obtain estimates/bids for repairs at properties.
- Coordinate contractor activity and provide excellent tenant service.
- Supervise cleaning and maintenance crews or hire out work to subcontractors.
- Oversee interior and exterior maintenance and repairs of buildings.
- Make recommendations to owners for repairs and upgrades.
- Direct management of operations staff.
- Coordinate tenants move in/move out and agreed-upon tenant improvements.
Financials:
- Preparation of annual budgets, year-end recoveries, and related tenant correspondence.
- Monitor all accounts pertaining to the running of buildings.
- Responsible for instituting collection procedures on late-paying tenants.
- Detailed verification of invoices amounts and information with approved Service Orders or Contracts.
About You:
- Post-secondary education or suitable professional training and experience as an alternative.
- 5+ years in commercial property management.
- RPA or FMA, or CPM is a plus.
- Experience using Yardi, and MRI Angus Anywhere.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Must have a vehicle.
- Bilingual is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Distinctive financial and analytical skills.
