Job Overview:
GHD is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our Rail and Transit Infrastructure practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary teams and overseeing the development and growth of our Transit/Rail practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams for preliminary and detail design of linear infrastructure projects and programs as a Project Manager or Project Director.
- Manage all aspects of project management from proposal to close-out, including team management, sub-consultant management, budgets, schedules, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Interface with GHD Design and design teams (potentially located internationally).
- Accountable for contractor questions, reviews shop drawings, and attends sites during construction as required.
- Prepare, track, and administer project budgets.
- Liaise with clients, participate in business development, and promotional activities for the company.
Requirements:
- Registered P. Eng in Ontario.
- Accredited with PMP certification (or working towards).
- Experience working for Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
- 15+ years of project management experience on multi-discipline engineering teams with experience in Bus Rapid Transit and/or Light Rail Transit Projects.
- Project delivery in an alternate project delivery (P3, DB, PDB), and experience in managing teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.
- Experience with a project through an alliance delivery model is highly desirable.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Rail and Transit Lead in Ontario.
