Project Director, Transportation Management

About the Role:
GHD is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our Ontario Transportation Group in Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of municipal planning and design projects, from initial policy development to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design road and bridge projects for municipal clients.
- Take ownership of all aspects of project management, including team management, sub-consultant coordination, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff.
- Ensure integration with other engineering disciplines, engineers, and design staff to produce high-quality project deliverables.
- Promote best practices and leadership in the delivery of highway, road, and bridge projects.
- Support business development, including capture planning and leading proposals.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering.
- 20+ years of experience in design and engineering of transportation infrastructure projects, including project management experience.
- Experience working with municipal transportation clients within the Greater Toronto Area.
- Proven track record of developing, mentoring, and leading professional technical staff.
