About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Vice-President to join our team at Metrolinx. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our organization's strategic objectives and ensuring the successful implementation of our policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to our organization, aligning with our overall vision and goals.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and materials, to support the achievement of our strategic objectives.
  • Departmental Oversight: Authorize and establish major departments and senior staff positions, ensuring the effective management of our organization.
  • Regional Coordination: Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments, fostering collaboration and ensuring the alignment of our efforts.
  • Policy Development: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs, ensuring their alignment with our strategic direction.
  • Representation: Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions, ensuring the effective representation of our interests.
  • Leadership Development: Select and develop middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, providing them with the necessary authority and support to excel in their roles.
Work Environment

As an Executive Vice-President at Metrolinx, you will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines. You will be expected to maintain attention to detail and manage a large workload.
