Job Title: Pastry Cook Helper

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook Helper to join our team at THE GOOD TIME BAKERY. As a Pastry Cook Helper, you will be responsible for assisting our pastry cooks in the preparation and production of high-quality baked goods.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist pastry cooks in measuring and mixing ingredients for baked goods.
  • Operate mixing and grinding machines to prepare ingredients for baking.
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors and manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers.
  • Feed and unload processing machines to ensure efficient production.
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects and report any issues to the team.
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or food preparation environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

THE GOOD TIME BAKERY is a dynamic and fast-paced bakery environment. As a Pastry Cook Helper, you will be working in a team environment with a focus on producing high-quality baked goods. You will be required to work in a clean and safe environment and adhere to all health and safety protocols.

Language:

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime.
