Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a Health Care Aide, you will provide support and assistance to residents/patients in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as identified in the care plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to residents/patients in accordance with established standards of practice.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents/patients with mobility and transfer needs.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents/patients.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care).
- One to two (1-2) years' experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position working 7.75 hour shifts. The successful candidate will be required to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
