Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Health Officer to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the health and well-being of our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to our public health programs and services, ensuring alignment with our organizational vision and values.
  • Collaborate with clinical directors and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and programs to address health inequities and improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders, boards, and other stakeholders on public health issues and trends.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in public health, and apply this knowledge to inform our programs and services.
Requirements
  • Medical degree and eligibility for a full license to practice medicine in British Columbia.
  • Master's degree in Health Sciences or equivalent qualifications.
  • FRCP(C) in Public Health and Preventive Medicine/Community Medicine.
  • Proven experience in health program administration and management, including budgeting and labor relations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
