Job Title: Excavator Operator

GS Construction is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, conducting pre-operational checks, and performing minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate backhoe excavators, loaders, and trenchers in various locations, including sewers and water mains.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and prepare accident reports.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment and perform minor repairs.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in excavation, material handling, and sloping and banking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Physically demanding work with up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary equipment provided.
