Cleaning Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cleaning Specialist to join our team at Blair Holdings Limited. As a Cleaning Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, as well as vacuuming carpeting and upholstered furniture.

Work Setting

You will be working in an urban area, primarily in office buildings and commercial spaces. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas are cleaned to a high standard.

Tasks

Your tasks will include:

  • Sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
  • Vacuuming carpeting and upholstered furniture
  • Stocking linen closets
  • Cleaning and disinfecting kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Disinfecting operating rooms and other areas
  • Handling and reporting lost and found items
  • Providing basic information on facilities
  • Picking up debris and emptying trash containers
  • Washing windows, walls, and ceilings
  • Stripping old finish from wood surfaces
  • Waxing and polishing floors
  • Sweeping, mopping, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs

Certifications and Licenses

You will be required to hold a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.

Security and Safety

You will be required to undergo a criminal record check.

Transportation and Travel

You will be required to have your own transportation and vehicle.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift heavy objects. You will also be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Personal Suitability

We are looking for a candidate who is a team player, reliable, and flexible. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas are cleaned to a high standard.
